News & Notes
Please be advised Northeast Metro Tech High School is no longer accepting School Choice Applicants and is no longer a school choice school as of the 2015-2016 school year. Students applying to Northeast Metro Tech High School and attending must be residents of the twelve cities and towns that form the regional school district. Students currently attending Northeast Metro Tech who are already school choice students may continue their enrollment at Northeast.
Starting with the 2015-2016 school year, students who move out of the twelve cities and towns that form the Northeast Metro Tech regional school district may not remain enrolled at Northeast unless they seek nonresident student status as outlined below:
Students who reside in cities and towns not maintaining approved vocational technical education programs in the vocational technical program area sought by the student may apply for admission to a school of another city, town or district offering the desired instruction as set forth in M.G.L. c. 74, s. 7. Nonresident students shall be subject to the admissions criteria of the school to which they are applying. Admitted student's tuition shall be paid by the city or town where the student resides in accordance with the Department's tuition rates for such programs and the Department's "Vocational Technical Education Nonresident" Policy.
