PROGRAM SUMMARY - INFORMATION SUPPORT SERVICES AND NETWORKING
Students in the Northeast Information Support Services and Networking (ISSN) program will become skilled in computer hardware installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking. ISSN students are taught how to install and navigate through various Microsoft Operating Systems and are introduced to common network operating systems.
In the ISSN program, students are taught the industry specific operations and applications as well as the hands on skills necessary for designing/installing a Local Area Computer Network (LAN) and the communication skills needed to maintain it with a focus on desktop computer support. Students are expected to complete a variety of projects to highlight their technology skills. Upon successful completion of the courses, students will focus preparing for successful completion of the industry standard A+ Certification test followed by the MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) Exam.
