PROGRAM SUMMARY

The Graphic Communications program provides students with the fundamental skills needed for the mass production of promotional materials. Students are introduced to a variety of software programs such as QuarkXpress, PageMaker, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, Freehand, and Flash. This experience also serves as a solid background for those interested in learning Web Page Design. Principles of design and color, copy preparation, desktop publishing, Networked Digital Printing and color copying, illustration, offset plate making, camera work, film developing and offset printing are emphasized. The Ripit computer to plate system is used to offer a student training that is current and applicable in the marketplace.
