PROGRAM SUMMARY

The Northeast Dental Assisting program teaches proper terminology, techniques, materials, and instrumentation involved in the various specialties of dentistry. The theoretical and laboratory portions of the course are taught at Northeast, while invaluable clinical experience is gained at a number of dental sites in the surrounding area. Chair side procedures, techniques of effective chair side dental assisting, management of appointment scheduling, record keeping, billing and inventory control are stressed. In the lab, application techniques and the ability to select, manipulate, and employ the various materials necessary for specific dental procedures are thoroughly explored.
