Northeast Metro Tech is an accredited member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges ( NEASC), which partners with schools to assess, support, and promote high-quality education for all students. As part of the NEASC Accreditation cycle, we will host our Collaborative Conference Visit on Wednesday, October 22, and Thursday, October 23, 2025.
The Collaborative Conference Visit is an important step in the Accreditation process. Its purpose is to gather information about the school’s current conditions, collaboratively review and refine the school’s Self-Reflection findings, and identify priority areas for growth and improvement. The visiting team will also check the school’s alignment with NEASC’s Foundational Elements and support the development of meaningful goals for continued growth. During the Collaborative Conference, the visiting team will tour the building, visit classrooms, and meet with various stakeholders. Following the visit, the NEASC team will draft a Collaborative Conference Report to present its findings.
Northeast began the Self-Reflection process in Fall 2024, which included gathering input from stakeholders through surveys and discussions. The feedback collected during that phase continues to guide our improvement efforts and preparation for this visit.
Following the Collaborative Conference Visit, we will continue working toward our Decennial Accreditation Visit, scheduled for Sunday, October 31, through Wednesday, November 3, 2027.
Your support of the NEASC Accreditation process is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Name: EvaMarie Blevins
Hometown: Stoneham
CTE Shop: Culinary
Favorite class: Graphic Novel - Enjoys reading personal favorites
One skill/lesson you’ve learned at Northeast that you’ll take with you: Things take time so live in the moment and enjoy it but don’t be afraid to fight to get what you want.
A person who has inspired you to be your best: Mr. Young has inspired me to be my best self. He runs our school’s Chorus club, which I have been a member of since my freshman year. He has reassured me through having faith in my singing abilities. He always says, “Learn to do what you love.” He explains to students that although our voices may not be perfect, we will continue to learn and grow.
Favorite quote: “She believed she could, so she did” - R.S. Grey
Plans after graduation: I plan to attend Salem State University. There I will earn my Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theater. There, I will join Salem State’s Theater Club which is fully run by the student body. Their spring musical is Sweeney Todd. I look forward to taking part in next year’s play.

Business Technology juniors spent the week volunteering at the Topsfield Fair through the Farm Hands program in the Education Center. For the past three years, the program has provided students with a hands-on opportunity to support an exhibit that welcomes many elementary and middle school field trips. Students led an interactive simulation showing children how farmers earn income by selling their crops and how that process connects to our economy. This experience allows our students to apply their knowledge of business and economics while engaging with the community.

Northeast Health Assisting students began their clinical rotation this week at the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody, MA. This experience marks an important step toward completing the required CNA hours needed for certification eligibility. Through hands-on training, students are gaining valuable experience in providing quality care and supporting residents in a professional healthcare setting.

Student IDs will be distributed next week. Each student will receive a breakaway lanyard along with their ID card. Students must keep their ID on their person at all times and are strongly encouraged to keep it visible (e.g., on the provided lanyard) while on school property.

Students are expected to engage in learning opportunities in each class/shop throughout the school day. Cell phones and smartwatches distract students from participating in lessons, completing assignments, contributing to class discussions, and collaborating with teachers and classmates. Unsanctioned cell phone/smartwatch use during instructional time is prohibited. All learning spaces, including classrooms and shop areas, are equipped with cell phone holders, where students must place their silenced devices upon arrival. Violations, including unauthorized photographing or video recording, may result in disciplinary action. Students are permitted to use their devices during lunch.
Emergency calls by students should be made in an administrative office, and families should contact Office A at (781) 246-0810 ext. 1644 for individual student needs. Headphones/earbuds may be used for educational purposes only; otherwise, students should remove them. Bluetooth speakers are not allowed in the building.

At this time, parking spaces allotted for students have been filled. Grade 12 students who complete the Student Parking Application Form (using their Northeast email account) will be added to a waitlist. Students in good standing, as approved by their dean, will be contacted in the order of submission if additional spaces become available. We aim to make as many spaces available to students as possible.
Please note: The form must be completed using the student's Northeast email account. Students will be required to enter their driver’s license number, vehicle information (make, model, color, and year), and license plate number, and upload a copy of their valid Massachusetts driver’s license and vehicle registration.
Parking spaces reserved for students are located in sections A and A2 on this image. All student vehicles parked on Northeast Metro Tech property must have a parking sticker properly displayed (affixed to the windshield above the inspection sticker on the passenger side). Detailed student parking information and expectations can be found by viewing this document.
