Northeast Metro Tech is an accredited member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges ( NEASC), which partners with schools to assess, support, and promote high-quality education for all students. As part of the NEASC Accreditation cycle, we will host our Collaborative Conference Visit on Wednesday, October 22, and Thursday, October 23, 2025.
The Collaborative Conference Visit is an important step in the Accreditation process. Its purpose is to gather information about the school’s current conditions, collaboratively review and refine the school’s Self-Reflection findings, and identify priority areas for growth and improvement. The visiting team will also check the school’s alignment with NEASC’s Foundational Elements and support the development of meaningful goals for continued growth. During the Collaborative Conference, the visiting team will tour the building, visit classrooms, and meet with various stakeholders. Following the visit, the NEASC team will draft a Collaborative Conference Report to present its findings.
Northeast began the Self-Reflection process in Fall 2024, which included gathering input from stakeholders through surveys and discussions. The feedback collected during that phase continues to guide our improvement efforts and preparation for this visit.
Following the Collaborative Conference Visit, we will continue working toward our Decennial Accreditation Visit, scheduled for Sunday, October 31, through Wednesday, November 3, 2027.
Your support of the NEASC Accreditation process is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Name: Yoselin Munera Mesa
Hometown: Revere
CTE Shop: Dental Assisting
Favorite class: Intro Psychology is my favorite class because it’s interesting learning about how people process their emotions, how they think, and the way they behave due to certain situations.
One skill/lesson you’ve learned at Northeast that you’ll take with you: At Northeast, I’ve learned how to perform important skills of a dental assistant such as taking radiographs, seating and dismissing patients, assisting the doctor during procedures, following proper infection control, and building confidence/professionalism.
A person who has inspired you to be your best: My parents inspire me to be my best because they sacrifice so much just for me to have the best life possible. They’re always there for me and encouraging me to do my best and to never give up on my goals.
Favorite quote: “Never let yesterday use up too much of today.” - Will Rogers
Plans after graduation: I plan to attend college. I want to continue my education in the dental field. I want to become a dental hygienist and then apply to dental school to become a doctor.

Last week, junior Carpentry students completed the concrete footing for the Mock House on the upper field. Students built the forms, installed reinforcement bars, directed the concrete into place, and used both a bull float and hand trowel to achieve a level finish. They also created a keyway to enhance structural integrity.

Freshmen Exploratory students in Drafting & Design are getting hands-on with two new Creality K2 3D printers. After learning the basics of CAD design in SolidWorks, students are creating custom keychains that feature their own names, numbers, or logos. The project gives students an early look at how design ideas move from concept to creation using modern technology, and they get to take their finished keychains home as a keepsake of their first design project.

The event offered valuable insight into current technologies and trends, as well as opportunities for students to network and make connections for future co-op and job placements.

Students in Automotive Technology are learning about electric vehicle technology using EV Trainers that simulate real-world functions and service procedures. They are also preparing to disassemble and reassemble the program’s Switch electric vehicle, originally built by last year’s seniors and juniors. The project offers valuable hands-on experience with modern automotive systems and emerging EV technology.

Students are expected to engage in learning opportunities in each class/shop throughout the school day. Cell phones and smartwatches distract students from participating in lessons, completing assignments, contributing to class discussions, and collaborating with teachers and classmates. Unsanctioned cell phone/smartwatch use during instructional time is prohibited. All learning spaces, including classrooms and shop areas, are equipped with cell phone holders, where students must place their silenced devices upon arrival. Violations, including unauthorized photographing or video recording, may result in disciplinary action. Students are permitted to use their devices during lunch.
Emergency calls by students should be made in an administrative office, and families should contact Office A at (781) 246-0810 ext. 1644 for individual student needs. Headphones/earbuds may be used for educational purposes only; otherwise, students should remove them. Bluetooth speakers are not allowed in the building.

At this time, parking spaces allotted for students have been filled. Grade 12 students who complete the Student Parking Application Form (using their Northeast email account) will be added to a waitlist. Students in good standing, as approved by their dean, will be contacted in the order of submission if additional spaces become available. We aim to make as many spaces available to students as possible.
Please note: The form must be completed using the student's Northeast email account. Students will be required to enter their driver’s license number, vehicle information (make, model, color, and year), and license plate number, and upload a copy of their valid Massachusetts driver’s license and vehicle registration.
Parking spaces reserved for students are located in sections A and A2 on this image. All student vehicles parked on Northeast Metro Tech property must have a parking sticker properly displayed (affixed to the windshield above the inspection sticker on the passenger side). Detailed student parking information and expectations can be found by viewing this document.

Families are encouraged to have frequent conversations about their student's growth and development to support their ongoing success. To guide these conversations and monitor student attendance and grades, students and families should log in to Aspen regularly. Students and parents/guardians have individual accounts with access to different resources, so parents should not share their accounts with their student. Students should click the "Sign in with Google" button to access their accounts, while parents should use their assigned username and password.
For support using and navigating Aspen, take a moment to review the Aspen Parent Portal Information document and video, which can also be found under the Parents & Students tab on the NEMT website. Families in need of Aspen support should contact us at nex2@northeastmetrotech.com.
