One skill/lesson you’ve learned at Northeast that you’ll take with you: A few things I learned at Northeast are how to use Chief Architect to create a functional house and then use Indesign to make a poster that explains our home in depth. Another skill I learned was how to be able to present to an audience. We do a lot of presentations and sometimes I can get nervous, but doing it so much has made me more confident.
A person who has inspired you to be your best: A person who really inspires me is my grandmother. She always tells me to be the best at what I do. She is someone I can talk to about anything and is like my best friend. My grandma is definitely one of my biggest supporters.
Favorite quote: “Always get up and keep moving forward … it may be slow but it is still progress." - Diana Morrow
Plans after graduation: I want to be an architect and create comfortable, affordable homes for low income families.

Electrical students are putting their skills to work at the Masonic Hall in Wakefield, where they are helping modernize the building’s lighting and control systems. Their work includes installing new LED floodlights, wiring for ceiling fans, and updated switching controls, much of which connects to new structures built by the Carpentry program. This hands-on project allows students to apply classroom knowledge while supporting an important community space.

Since 1985, the National Red Ribbon Campaign has encouraged students to live drug-free. At Northeast, we support this cause by observing Red Ribbon Week from Thursday, October 23, to Friday, October 31. This year’s theme is “Life Is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free.”
Our Students Against Destructive Decisions ( SADD) chapter has organized activities highlighting healthy choices and responsible decision making, including:
- Take the Drug-Free Pledge by signing the pledge banner.
- Wear a red ribbon clip and a temporary tattoo to show support.
- Red Ribbon Week Spirit Day - students and staff are encouraged to wear red on Tuesday, October 28 to spread awareness and demonstrate unity.
We encourage all students to take part in this important conversation and to remember that healthy choices today create a brighter future tomorrow. For questions or additional information, please contact SADD Advisor Sarah Pierce at spierce@northeastmetrotech.com.

Students are expected to engage in learning opportunities in each class/shop throughout the school day. Cell phones and smartwatches distract students from participating in lessons, completing assignments, contributing to class discussions, and collaborating with teachers and classmates. Unsanctioned cell phone/smartwatch use during instructional time is prohibited. All learning spaces, including classrooms and shop areas, are equipped with cell phone holders, where students must place their silenced devices upon arrival. Violations, including unauthorized photographing or video recording, may result in disciplinary action. Students are permitted to use their devices during lunch.
Emergency calls by students should be made in an administrative office, and families should contact Office A at (781) 246-0810 ext. 1644 for individual student needs. Headphones/earbuds may be used for educational purposes only; otherwise, students should remove them. Bluetooth speakers are not allowed in the building.

At this time, parking spaces allotted for students have been filled. Grade 12 students who complete the Student Parking Application Form (using their Northeast email account) will be added to a waitlist. Students in good standing, as approved by their dean, will be contacted in the order of submission if additional spaces become available. We aim to make as many spaces available to students as possible.
Please note: The form must be completed using the student's Northeast email account. Students will be required to enter their driver’s license number, vehicle information (make, model, color, and year), and license plate number, and upload a copy of their valid Massachusetts driver’s license and vehicle registration.
Parking spaces reserved for students are located in sections A and A2 on this image. All student vehicles parked on Northeast Metro Tech property must have a parking sticker properly displayed (affixed to the windshield above the inspection sticker on the passenger side). Detailed student parking information and expectations can be found by viewing this document.

Parking on Hemlock Road, Farm Street, and surrounding neighborhood streets is allowed unless posted otherwise. Please be respectful by not blocking or partially blocking residential driveways.
All drivers are reminded to operate vehicles safely and remain under 15 mph while on school property.

Families are encouraged to have frequent conversations about their student's growth and development to support their ongoing success. To guide these conversations and monitor student attendance and grades, students and families should log in to Aspen regularly. Students and parents/guardians have individual accounts with access to different resources, so parents should not share their accounts with their student. Students should click the "Sign in with Google" button to access their accounts, while parents should use their assigned username and password.
For support using and navigating Aspen, take a moment to review the Aspen Parent Portal Information document and video, which can also be found under the Parents & Students tab on the NEMT website. Families in need of Aspen support should contact us at nex2@northeastmetrotech.com.
