Name: Moxie Lonks
Hometown: Reading
CTE Shop: Early Childhood Education
Favorite class: Early Childhood Shop
One skill/lesson you’ve learned at Northeast that you’ll take with you: I learned how to find creative solutions to problems and adapt to change. At preschool, children can be unpredictable. What works perfectly one day might not work at all the next so I’ve learned to change my direction to manage difficult behaviors or to teach the children in a way that is most effective for them.
A person who has inspired you to be your best: My family has continually inspired me to strive for excellence and become the best version of myself. Their guidance has inspired me to work hard, remain grounded, and pursue my goals with determination.
Favorite quote: “Sometimes it takes a good fall to really know where you stand” - Hayley Williams
Plans after graduation: I plan on using my skills I have learned in the Early Childcare Education shop by getting my licensure, moving to Utah, and starting up my own daycare where I am head teacher.

Students are expected to engage in learning opportunities in each class/shop throughout the school day. Cell phones and smartwatches distract students from participating in lessons, completing assignments, contributing to class discussions, and collaborating with teachers and classmates. Unsanctioned cell phone/smartwatch use during instructional time is prohibited. All learning spaces, including classrooms and shop areas, are equipped with cell phone holders, where students must place their silenced devices upon arrival. Violations, including unauthorized photographing or video recording, may result in disciplinary action. Students are permitted to use their devices during lunch.
Emergency calls by students should be made in an administrative office, and families should contact Office A at (781) 246-0810 ext. 1644 for individual student needs. Headphones/earbuds may be used for educational purposes only; otherwise, students should remove them. Bluetooth speakers are not allowed in the building.
