One skill/lesson you’ve learned at Northeast that you’ll take with you: Patience and consistency will get you further than 99% of people.
A person who has inspired you to be your best: My brother has always pushed me to be the best person I can no matter the circumstance. He taught me that self pity, laziness, and not being prepared will always be followed by failure.
Favorite quote: "By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail." - Benjamin Franklin
Plans after graduation: I will be attending Umass Lowell, I will be majoring in civil engineering.

MCAS Participation & Graduation Requirements
Participation in MCAS testing remains required under state and federal law. Assessment results will be used for school and district accountability purposes, as well as for eligibility for scholarships and recognitions such as the Adams Scholarship, the Stanley Z. Koplik Certificate of Mastery, and the State Seal of Biliteracy.
The law change enacted in December 2024 did not change the requirement for students to participate in MCAS testing. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) will continue to use participation rates, achievement, and growth data as part of its annual district and school accountability system.
While students are no longer required to pass the MCAS to graduate, they must still earn a Competency Determination (CD) and meet all local graduation requirements as outlined in the Program of Studies.
Important Reminders for Grade 10 MCAS Testing:
✅ If your Chromebook is damaged, turn it in to the Tech Office as soon as possible.
✅ Bring your fully charged Chromebook to school each day.
✅ Ask your math teachers questions about MCAS testing.
For any questions regarding MCAS testing, please contact Joseph O’Brien, test coordinator, at 📧 jobrien@northeastmetrotech.com or 📞(781) 246-0810 ext. 1649.
