Summer Reading 2026
Northeast students are expected to complete summer reading by selecting and reading one book from their grade-level list. The program is designed to help students maintain and strengthen their literacy skills while fostering a lifelong appreciation for reading. Summer reading books will be distributed to students prior to the last day of school.
In addition to reading, all students must complete a writing assignment based on a choice of the provided writing prompts in their English classes during the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Graphic organizers are available to help students brainstorm and organize their ideas.
Summer Reading Book Lists:
- Rising Grade 9 - Class of 2030
- Rising Grade 10 - Class of 2029
- Rising Grade 11 - Class of 2028
- Rising Grade 12 - Class of 2027
